•Ability to pass the Air Canada and Transport Canada medical and visual acuity requirements for a Category 1 medical certificate

Rates are blended 1/2 day, 1/2 night; all widebody types include overseas pay premiums.
I have also included rates for the LCC "Air Canada Rouge".  Rouge flights are operated by ACPA pilots, and pilots may bid between positions at either company.  The main difference in how the payscale is applied is that pilots at the mainline retain their years of service when upgrading, thus a 5th year FO who upgrades to captain receives 5th year Captain pay, but an FO at Rouge who upgrades to captain moves to "Step 1" on the captain payscale (unless they have previous service as captain at the mainline, in which case those years of service carry forward).  (confusing, I know).  
Air Canada does have a retirement plan; pilots hired before 2012 were on a defined benefit pension, which is indexed to the Consumer Price Index.  Those hired after August 1st 2012 are on a Defined Contribution pension, where a pilot can contribute 3-6% of their earnings into the registered pension, and the company matches that contribution 100% for the first 2 years, 137.5% for 2-5 years, and 175% after 5 years of service.  I am not sure how this all equates to the US retirement plans.
